This is a solid knife that takes a decent edge, I'm well pleased.

To be honest wasn't expecting a lot for $50 , but then the pig sticker arrived. I have to say although I haven't field tested it properly, it is well built. Takes a wicked edge and just looks good overall. For the money I paid,. Bottom line I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to a good mate.

There’s no other rating than 5 stars for this knife. It represents unbeatable value, nothing else come close to achieving its price point. The real value of this knife is in training. Sharpening knives is fraught with issues, this knife, due to its unique price point provides an opportunity to tryout different sharpening angles, even adding an edge. For anyone interested in hunting knives and sharpening hunting knives this one is a must have. Depending on where you are on the sharpening learning curve, it maybe a sound idea to own more than one Pig Sticker. The knife has a great heft and is a great analog for more expensive knives.

I haven’t tested the knife only sharpened it and it takes a fine edge. Would I use this knife in a hunt? Not until the knife proved it’s metal. This knife presents a brilliant opportunity to become accustomed to sharpening a Pig Sticker before taking less practiced hands to a more expensive knife. For what this knife is it’s outstanding value and definitely deserving of five stars don’t hesitate to buy if you’ve never before handled a Pig Sticker.
