Rather than an emergency messenger, Trace is a dedicated theft-and-movement monitor: it sits quietly with your asset and alerts you the instant something moves it, tracking its GPS position via 100% satellite coverage the whole time it's away from you.

How It Works

Trace communicates over the Globalstar satellite network, giving it GPS tracking coverage far beyond where a cellular tracker would work. Once armed, its built-in motion sensor detects any movement of the asset it's attached to and immediately sends a text or email alert with the GPS coordinates, so you know the moment something's amiss. Dock Mode adjusts its sensitivity for boats and other water-stored assets that naturally rock and drift, avoiding false alerts while still catching genuine theft or drift events.

A SPOT satellite service plan is required to activate tracking and alerts — plans are available month-to-month or on an annual contract directly through SPOT.
