Parachute cord, also known as Paracord or 550 cord is a lightweight nylon rope originally used in the suspension lines of parachutes. This versatile cord is useful for many other tasks including as tie downs, for rescue, tie up, building a bow, creating a shelter and many more. Paracord is now also used to make braided bracelets, belts and lanyards to create a wearable survival tool.
